BIRSA MUNDA PARK

Bhagwan Birsa Biological Park, is in Ormanjhi, a place in Ranchi-Hazaribagh National Highway. It is about 15 km from Ranchi town. It is one of the most beautiful zoos in India, located in the lap of a beautiful natural surroundings. Unlike most of the zoos, it covers over 104 ha. of mildly undulating topography with natural dry deciduous forest, in and around water bodies and other natural features that provides the wild animals the natural habitat to live in harmony with the nature. Some of the important animals found are- Hippopotamus, Porcupine, White Black Buck, Pelican, Leopard Cat, Indian Bison (Gaur) etc.
